Problem on Ratio of Saplings to Trees

Topic : Ratio of Saplings to trees

Question : In a forest reserve , the ratio of saplings to trees is 2: 7. If there are 2800 saplings altogether in the forest, how many trees are there ?

Solution :
Ratio of Saplings to trees = 2 : 7
2 : 7 = 2800 : x
If there are 2800 saplings
2x = 2800 x 7
2x = 19600
X = 19600/2
X = 9800
So there were 9800 trees in the forest reserve.
